Set Sail: Royal Caribbean’s Harmony of the Seas

Happy Sunday friends! It has been a hot minute since I’ve been able to do an update. Life is truly chaotic this year but I wouldn’t change a thing because from chaos comes opportunity and through opportunity comes the freedom I know, want and desire.

Two weeks ago, our company set sail on the Royal Caribbean’s Harmony of the Seas for an all expense paid trip that I had earned from helping busy women take charge of their lives. Talk about best job ever, I know.

Honestly, none of it seems real. Looking back, I remember as a child, never being able to travel. The only trips we took would be to family member’s houses who lived in the area. It wasn’t until I was 12 that we took our first family vacation with our grandparents (my dad couldn’t even go because he had to work). So it truly wasn’t a “family vacation” but it was with family if that makes sense lol.

That trip was when I experienced a real beach and I think that’s where my obsession with the ocean started. To me, the ocean was everything I wanted my life to be: beautiful, wild and free. It spanned such a great distance and the waves to be represented the changes in life. No matter how rough the waters got, things always calmed.

Fast forward to adulthood, nothing had changed. Working 2-3 jobs while taking 19-21 credit semesters…no travel. Never got to take a spring break vacation like the movies make you think you’re going to go on. But finally, after receiving my first degree, I skipped walking across the stage and boarded a plane. This time, I had worked all year long, saved the money and went.

That trip was it, I went to Colorado, California, Arizona and Nevada visiting and staying with friends all along the way. During that trip, I re-visited several beaches, climbed real mountains and explored the desert. Forever that trip changed the way I would see life and the world.

Fast forward again, to now. Over the last almost 4 years I have traveled more than I ever could have imagined thanks to being an online health and fitness influencer & coach. Because of this opportunity and the hard work I have put in, I have gone to Punta Cana, Riviera Maya Mexico and this most recent trip on the Harmony of the Seas.

This ship was INCREDIBLE, legit it had everything you you could have imagined along with things you’d never even think of. From the moment I stepped on the ship, I was in awe. Constantly looking around, repeatedly saying “how is this even possible,” “how are we floating?”….lol thanks Titanic. But truly from the amazing crew, down to the variety of food options and activities this was insanely awesome. To think our company didn’t just gift us a trip we earned, but, they also had the entire ship rented out just for us. Talk about EPIC.

Each morning, we started off our days with a solid workout. Our trainers came on the trip with us and worked out with us each day. There is something so incredible when a group of link minded people get together and sweat. Each workout made me want to push hard, dig deeper and got just a little bit more. The energy was INSANELY AWESOME and when I returned home it made me go all in with following a program.

Then, each day was followed by superfood smoothies, delicious breakfasts and then outing on the boat or on the beaches we visited. During this cruise, we went to Labadee Haiti and the Bahamas. Labadee was stunning. It was a beautiful setting, with perfect weather and a wonderful day of just resting and relaxing (completely unplugged since we didn’t have internet). Which in my opinion, was the best thing that could have happened. The Bahamas was a very interesting experience because we got to experience a private lagoon and boat tour seeing some of the most insanely huge homes I had seen in my life. The Bahamas had interesting shops and the best places to drink to pass the time in the afternoon after we got off our private boat tour.

Lastly, each night was spent experiencing parties on the ship, really interesting shows (a water show, Grease, comedy & game shows..even a club) and having amazing dinners with our team. Honestly, there was a lengthy itinerary where you could do alllllll the things or not. Personally, I chose each afternoon, to come back to my room and reset #introvertproblems. Before then going out and joining our team for dinner and that evening’s event. Thankfully, I got to upgrade my room to have an ocean view balcony which truly made my experience one I’ll never forget. From that balcony, I sat, worked, rested, ate pizza, got up on Chicago Med (obsessed lol) and did yoga as this beautiful ship cruised through the amazing ocean.

Honestly, this trip, was highlight reel, it was an experience I would have NEVER had if it wasn’t for this opportunity. This team, these people, they have had the most profound impact on my life. All of us did not know each other before joining this team nor are we remotely alike. Yet, we all have a similar passion for making positive difference in the lives of others and together we accomplish incredible things.

If I never made another dollar as an influencer and coach, I wouldn’t stop solely because of them. This opportunity truly was life changing, it’s shaped me into a significantly stronger, more confident and passionate person who wants to leave a legacy and help others do the same. So often we hold ourselves back, question what experience we have, the time we have each day and our success INSTEAD of just doing the damn thing and going all in.

So today, I want you to think, really think about your life, current circumstances, financial needs and your deepest desires. Is the life you are currently leading, giving you the path and platform to make sure you’re going to achieve them? If not, if you’re like me, you didn’t come from a life that would give you this kind of freedom BUT you’ve always worked harder than those around you I WANT YOU to be a part of our squad. Real talk my friend–> if you are HARD WORKING, SELF MOTIVATED, SEEK FREEDOM & the DESIRE TO TRAVEL then fill out this link because you are meant to do great things and together will achieve GREATNESS.
