Episode 024: Summer’s Coming: Shame Isn’t In

Welcome to The Unfiltered Trainer: a lifestyle podcast set out to provide an open, honest and real take on mental health, fitness, relationships, trauma and more without the surface level nonsense you see in today’s culture. It’s meant for people who are tired of repeating the same cycles and who seek to not only heal but grow from toxic experiences so that they no longer feel like they have to stop apologizing for who they are.

Summer is coming and that means a focus on getting in shape. Now, there is nothing wrong with wanting to better yourself, feel confident etc. But, there is an issue when your worth or value is synonymous with a number on a scale or what’s reflected in a mirror. In today’s episode, we discuss body image, the trend of getting in shape for a season/reason. We also breakdown how to create a health mindset/environment. And lastly, tangible steps you can take to pursue your goals.

P.S. In this playlist, I reference my favorite Spotify playlist it would let me share it but you can find it on Spotify: BBE Bad b**** energy. Be blessed, be spicy.
