This year wasn’t pretty.
It wasn’t linear.
And it definitely wasn’t the year I pictured when I stepped into January believing I was entering my “best chapter yet.”
But here’s the truth:
2025 broke me in the best, loudest, most uncomfortable ways and it also rebuilt me into someone stronger, clearer, and far more aligned.
I started this year winning.
Awards. Growth. Expansions. Community building.
I felt like I finally stepped into the version of myself I had been working toward for years.
And then it all shifted.
I got sick — the kind of sick that forces you to stop.
Momentum? Gone.
Clarity? Shaken.
Identity? Questioned.
Then the job loss hit.
Unexpected, disorienting, and humbling.
There’s something uniquely painful about having the rug pulled out from under you when you finally feel stable.
It forces you to confront parts of your identity you didn’t realize you tied to your work.
But that’s the funny thing about life:
The plot twists you never asked for become the chapters that change you the most.
The messy middle of this year was lonely, confusing, and vulnerable.
I questioned everything, my path, my direction, my purpose.
But it was also where I rebuilt myself quietly, piece by piece.
And now, as I close out the year with a birthday episode, I can finally say it:
What felt like destruction was actually direction.
This year forced me to pivot.
To reset.
To shed old versions of myself.
To stop performing strength and start living it.
To redefine what success and stability look like.
To trust myself deeper than I ever have before.
If you’ve had a chaotic year — one filled with big wins and bigger lessons — this episode will remind you:
You’re not behind.
You’re becoming.
And sometimes life has to fall apart for you to finally fall into place.
